Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Plumbing Designer for its fast-moving Data Center market. You will design plumbing/utility packages for data center clients and prepare construction drawings for DWV, potable water, process drains, storm drains, and domestic water systems.

You’ll ensure schedule adherence and technical quality while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team to establish plumbing design basis and construction documents. Hybrid work model available.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ experience in the design of plumbing systems for industrial facilities.
• Demonstrated experience in generating design documents adhering to CAD standards for plumbing design packages within an A&E firm.
• Trade School or Associates Degree.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to design of plumbing systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work well within a dynamic team environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of Plumbing systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, isometrics, riser diagrams, details, fixture schedules, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, etc.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
