Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Plumbing Designer for our Data Center team. You will design plumbing and utility layouts, develop design packages, and prepare construction drawings for DWV, potable water, process drains, and domestic water systems.

You’ll work with a multi-discipline team to establish design bases, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure schedule and technical quality. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in industrial plumbing design, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and a solid

Qualifications

• Experience designing plumbing systems for industrial facilities is required.
• Proficiency with CAD standards for plumbing design packages in an A&E firm.
• Trade School or Associates Degree is required.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Knowledge of codes and standards for plumbing design is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of Plumbing systems.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents with sizing calculations, isometrics, riser diagrams, details, fixture schedules.
• Develop final construction documents for domestic water, sanitary waste & vent, etc.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and plumbing engineers.
