Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Plumbing Designer for our Data Center team. You will design plumbing/utility packages, prepare construction drawings for DWV, potable water, process drains, storm drains, and domestic water systems, and coordinate with multi-discipline teams.

You’ll manage schedule and quality of challenging tasks while aligning with client expectations, scope, budget, and timeline. Hybrid work policy supported.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years’ experience in designing plumbing systems for industrial facilities.
• Experience generating design documents adhering to CAD standards for plumbing design packages within an A&E firm.
• Trade School or Associate's Degree is required.
• Proficiency in Revit is required.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards for plumbing design.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a team with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of plumbing systems for data center projects.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents including sizing calculations, isometrics, riser diagrams, details, fixture schedules.
• Develop final construction documents for domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, and related systems.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and Plumbing Engineers to produce a cohesive design package.
