Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Data Center Service Delivery Field Support Engineer (L2) to provide second-line onsite technical support and field engineering for data center networks in the United States. You will handle incidents, perform routine tasks, and coordinate with clients and vendors to resolve issues while maintaining SLA targets.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in IT or computing and professional DC certifications, with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
• Professional level certification in Data Centre technologies such as Cisco, NetApp, EMC- Ex: CCNP (DC), ONTAP etc.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the client site infrastructure is configured, installed, tested and operational.
• Install and configure software as part of the solution per client requirements.
• Proactively identify problems, log incidents with required detail, and expedite resolution.
• Liaise with client IT environments, carriers and colleagues to expedite diagnosis and resolution.
• Investigate second line support calls to identify root causes following knowledge articles.
• Respond to alerts and escalate to L3 when needed to meet SLAs.
• Update incidents with progress and resolution details in the platform.
• Ensure swift and complete resolution of incidents and requests.
• Log, track, and report configuration items and changes.
• Provide second line remote and onsite technical support and field engineering services.
• Escalate issues to 3rd party vendors when necessary.
