Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to join our data center and engineering teams. You will set up and manage Revit BIM models, create 3D content, and produce 2D construction drawings under guidance from electrical leads.

The role requires at least 3 years in BIM design and electrical systems, familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD, and ability to work in a collaborative, hybrid environment across US offices.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and the construction industry.
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions.
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function.
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark-ups and/or verbal direction requests.
• Willingness to learn new things.
