Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to join our team in the United States. You will set up and manage Revit BIM models, coordinate with discipline leads, and deliver fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings across multiple design disciplines.

You will work under electrical leads to produce constructible deliverables that meet Jacobs and client standards. You will leverage Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD to create clash-free models while collaborating with architects, engineers and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design and construction industry experience
• Understanding of codes and standards shaping design decisions
• Familiarity with design and construction specifications and their function
• Experience with wiring/cabling connections in relation to circuits
• Experience following client design and modeling standards
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to estimate design and modeling hours from markups/directions
• Willingness to learn new things

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage Revit BIM models for electrical design
• Produce construction drawings in 2D and 3D content across disciplines
• Coordinate with other BIM leads and team members
• Ensure models are clash-free and aligned with Jacobs and client standards
• Use Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD to deliver constructable deliverables
• Collaborate with designers, architects and engineers on the Jacobs design team
• Follow Jacobs design methods and maintain meticulous organization
