Job summary

Jacobs is hiring an Electrical BIM Designer to set up and manage Revit BIM models, coordinating with design teams to deliver fully coordinated 3D models and 2D drawings. You will work under electrical discipline leads, ensuring code compliance and clash-free deliverables.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, collaboration with engineers and architects, and growing expertise in data center design while leveraging Jacobs’ BIM standards and tools.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design experience.
• Growing understanding of codes and standards shape design decisions.
• Growing understanding of design and construction specs and their function.
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to circuits or devices.
• Experience following client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling based on markups/direction.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Design documentation and setup/management of Revit BIM models.
• Coordinate BIM content with discipline leads and team members.
• Create and manage 3D models across design disciplines and develop 2D construction drawings.
• Ensure clash-free models and adherence to Jacobs standards.
