Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to join our design team. You will set up and manage Revit BIM models and produce coordinated 3D content across disciplines, guided by Jacobs and client BIM standards.

Working with electrical leads and other designers, you'll create 2D drawings, coordinate with Navisworks and AutoCAD outputs, and help turn design intent into constructable deliverables. This role emphasizes detail and collaboration with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years of electrical systems design and construction industry experience.
• Growing understanding of codes, standards and design decisions.
• Experience with client design and modeling standards.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to estimate hours for design and modeling efforts.
• Willingness to learn new things.

Responsibilities

• Setup and management of Revit BIM models in coordination with discipline BIM leads.
• Create and manage content towards 3D models and 2D construction drawings.
• Collaborate with designers, architects and engineers to ensure coordinated deliverables.
• Turn design intent into constructable deliverables with clash-free models.
