Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to join our multidisciplinary team in the United States. You will set up and manage Revit BIM models, coordinating with discipline leads and producing 3D content and 2D drawings for data center projects.

You will work under Electrical discipline leads, applying Jacobs standards and collaborating with architects and engineers to deliver constructible, clash-free models. This role offers a hybrid work policy and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• At least 3 years of BIM design experience
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and the construction industry
• A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions
• A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function
• Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment
• Experience following client design and modeling standards
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark-ups and/or verbal direction requests
• Willingness to learn new things
