Job summary

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC is seeking a Corporate Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting functions for a growing private equity backed MGA. You will drive the close process, financial reporting, reconciliations and GAAP compliance while leading accounting staff and strengthening internal controls.

The role begins onsite five days a week for three months, then transitions to a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in a insurance MGA is a plus; willingness to work in Carlsbad, CA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the monthly and annual close process.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Review monthly financial statements.
• Support preparation of lender reporting and debt covenant compliance.
• Assist with year-end financial audit.
• Provide supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial information for tax filings.
• Support acquisition accounting for mergers and acquisitions.
• Supervise staff accountants, including reviewing work product and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Complete special projects and financial analyses as assigned.
