Job summary

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC (ISC) seeks a Corporate Accounting Supervisor in Carlsbad, CA to oversee day-to-day accounting, monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance for a growing private equity backed MGA.

The role leads accounting staff, maintains strong internal controls, and drives scalable process improvements to support growth. It starts onsite five days a week for the first three months, then transitions to a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5-8 years of accounting experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Accounting systems.
• Willing to work in Carlsbad, CA office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the monthly and annual close process.
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Oversee accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Review monthly financial statements.
• Support preparation of lender reporting and debt covenant compliance.
• Assist with year-end financial audit.
• Provide supporting schedules, reconciliations, and financial information for tax filings.
• Support acquisition accounting for mergers and acquisitions.
• Supervise staff accountants, including reviewing work product and providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Complete special projects and financial analyses as assigned.
