Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI, is seeking a Clinical Operations Assistant to support payroll, scheduling, and administrative functions in a hybrid role (2–3 days on-site at East Madison Hospital and the remainder remote after training).

You will coordinate calendars, prepare reports, and help update policies and procedures while ensuring compliance and high-quality service to staff and leaders across Perioperative Services.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred
• Associate's Degree in Business Administration or related field Preferred
• 1 year experience in an administrative support role Required
• 3 years experience in an administrative support function Preferred
• Previous experience in a health care setting Preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll and staff scheduling and ensure policy compliance.
• Serve as primary payroll, scheduling, and time-off resource for staff and leaders.
• Manage calendars, agendas, meeting minutes, and team coordination.
• Coordinate Perioperative Services admin, reports, and policy updates.
• Monitor policy compliance and time-sensitive workflows.
• Purchase supplies, services, or equipment.
