Job summary

Providence is seeking a Clinical Informatics Lab Specialist to support laboratory components of the EHR, CDS, and LIS. This role partners with informatics lab specialists to design workflows and system functions, driving outcomes and efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical discipline, Information Technology/Informatics, Business, Education, Management, Communications, or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• 2 years in a position with same duties working with a clinical information system within a healthcare setting.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Experience with benefits and challenges of adult learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application expertise and recommend processes for enhancements to laboratory information systems.
• Respond to improvement needs in the function of laboratory computer systems.
• Collaborate and document system design and workflow processes for clinical and laboratory management, staff, and providers.
• Serve as a liaison between laboratory stakeholders and system build teams.
• Ensure system design aligns with standardization, integration, and efficiency and complies with policies and regulations.
