Job summary

Providence is seeking a Clinical Informatics Lab Specialist to support laboratory components of the EHR, CDS, and laboratory information systems. You will collaborate with informatics lab specialists to design workflows that improve outcomes and efficiency, and you will analyze data to inform leadership decisions.

This hybrid role requires strong communication across clinicians, executives, and vendors, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and experience with EHRs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical discipline, information technology/informatics, business, education, management, communications, or related field.
• 2 years in a role working with a clinical information system within a healthcare setting.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Experience with adult learning concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application expertise to enhance laboratory information systems.
• Respond to improvement needs in laboratory computer systems.
• Collaborate to document system design and workflow processes for clinical and laboratory management.
• Serve as a liaison between laboratory stakeholders and system build teams.
• Ensure system design aligns with standardization, integration, and efficiency and complies with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Develop change communications and training materials with the education team.
