Job summary

Providence Health & Services is hiring a Clinical Informatics Lab Specialist in a hybrid role based in Washington. The position focuses on supporting laboratory components of the EHR, CDS and LIS, and on designing efficient lab workflows and system functions.

You will analyze data to inform leadership decisions, implement changes aligned with patient safety and regulatory goals, and partner with stakeholders and vendors to improve laboratory information systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a clinically or informatics-related field is required.
• Experience with clinical information systems and EHR systems is needed.
• Experience understanding adult learning benefits and challenges is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert supporting laboratory components of EHR, CDS and LIS.
• Collaborate to design workflows and processes for lab systems and operations.
• Support leadership with data gathering and sophisticated analyses.
• Implement changes aligning with patient safety and regulatory goals.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and vendors; communicate effectively.
• Document system designs and workflows for clinical and lab teams.
• Coordinate change priorities, metrics, and training materials with teams.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical discipline, Information Technology/Informatics, Business, Education, Management, Communications, or related field or equivalent education/experience
