Job summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a Clinical Informatics Lab Specialist for a hybrid role in Washington. You will act as a subject matter expert supporting laboratory components of the EHR, CDS, and lab information systems, driving efficient workflows and data-driven decision making.

You will collaborate with leadership, frontline staff, governance groups, and vendors to prioritize demands, set metrics, and manage change while ensuring alignment with patient safety and regulatory goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a clinical, IT, informatics, or related field (or equivalent).
• 2 years in a role with a clinical information system in healthcare.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Experience with adult learning benefits and challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and recommend enhancements to laboratory information systems.
• Respond to improvement needs in laboratory computer systems.
• Collaborate to document system design and workflow needs for clinical and lab management.
• Function as liaison between lab stakeholders and system build teams.
• Ensure system design aligns with standardization, integration and regulatory requirements.
• Share knowledge with team members and support change communication and training materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist with testing updates and releases.
