Job summary

Providence is seeking a Clinical Informatics Lab Specialist in a hybrid Seattle-area role to support laboratory components of the EHR, CDS, and LIS. The specialist designs workflows, analyzes data, and partners with clinicians, vendors, and leadership to drive standardization and efficiency.

You will collaborate with education teams, respond to IT and lab needs, travel between facilities as required, and ensure compliance with policies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience in clinical informatics or related field.
2 years in a role with clinical information systems in healthcare.
Experience with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise and recommend enhancements for laboratory information systems.
Respond to improvement needs in laboratory computer systems operations.
Document system design and workflows for clinical and lab management.
Serve as liaison between laboratory stakeholders and system build teams.
Design, analyze, and optimize clinical and laboratory information systems.
Ensure design aligns with standardization, integration, and efficiency goals.
Share knowledge with team members and support change communication/training.
Perform routine maintenance and assist with testing updates/releases.
