Job summary

Providence seeks a Clinical Informatics Lab Specialist to support laboratory components of the EHR and related information systems on a hybrid schedule in Washington. You will work with informatics colleagues to design effective lab workflows, drive data-driven improvements, and ensure alignment with safety and regulatory goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical discipline, IT/informatics, or related field.
• 2 years' experience with a clinical information system in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with EHR systems.
• Experience with adult learning concepts and training delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application expertise to enhance laboratory information systems.
• Respond to improvement needs in laboratory computer systems' operation.
• Document system design and workflow processes for clinical and lab staff.
• Serve as liaison between lab stakeholders and system-build teams.
• Ensure system design supports standardization, integration, and efficiency while complying with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with education team to develop training materials and change communications.
• Assist with testing updates and new releases prior to production use.
