Job summary

Amwins Self-Funded seeks a Claims Manager to lead a dedicated team, optimize day-to-day operations, and elevate client service. The role is primarily in-office with hybrid work up to two days weekly after training, offering growth and a performance-based bonus program.

You will coach staff, manage workloads, and collaborate with QA and carriers to ensure accurate, timely claims processing and reporting while refining processes for superior outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience leading, coaching, and developing others.
• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5+ years of experience in Group Benefits.
• 3–5+ years of claims or production-environment experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Strong time management and deadline-driven work habits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Claims team and support staffing and evaluations.
• Provide coaching and process guidance; partner with the Claims Lead for performance.
• Collaborate with QA to monitor quality trends and address gaps.
• Oversee filing for Stop Loss Claims and master list of groups/cases.
• Distribute workload and manage client account assignments as needed.
• Serve as SME on complex claim submissions and prioritize high-priority cases.
• Prepare monthly claims reporting and notifications to Stop Loss carriers.
• Help develop policies and process improvements for claims operations.
• Partner with Director of Claims to ensure high-quality service delivery.
