Job summary

Amwins Self-Funded is seeking a Claims Manager to lead and support a dedicated claims team, improving day-to-day operations and delivering exceptional service to clients and partners. The role is primarily in-office with hybrid flexibility after training.

You will coach team members, manage workflows, collaborate with QA, carriers, and brokers, and drive process improvements to ensure high-quality service and timely claims outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 3–5+ years in Group Benefits.
• 3–5 years of claims or production-environment experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Claims team and oversee staffing, promotions, and evaluations as applicable.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to team members, with guidance from the Claims Lead.
• Partner with the Claims Quality team to review QA reports and drive improvements.
• Oversee document management for stop-loss claims and workload distribution.
• Manage client account assignments and claim submissions, including reporting to carriers.
• Collaborate with external partners (carriers, brokers) to ensure responsive service.
