Job summary

CNA Insurance is seeking an experienced senior claims professional to manage the most complex liability construction defect claims. The role requires expert interpretation of policy coverages, strategic resolution decisions, and cross-functional collaboration.

The position offers a flexible, hybrid schedule and can be located near a CNA office. The incumbent will mentor staff, influence policy, and engage with senior leadership to drive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum 10 years claims experience with proven track record of success.
• Professional designations preferred.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages the most complex investigations of claims, including coverage defenses, liability and damages exposures.
• Directs all types of investigative activity or litigation on major claims and ensures adequate reserves are set.
• Directs and may engage in the negotiation of the most complex settlement packages.
• Makes recommendations to senior management on claims policy and strategy.
• Identifies ways to reduce inefficiencies in claims processes.
• Communicates exposures to senior management and internal partners.
• Mentors and guides less experienced claims staff and contributes to training.
