Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation seeks a Business Solutions Analyst II to support customer experience systems, data reporting and business process optimization in a hybrid work environment. The role acts as a bridge between business units and IT, delivering system health monitoring, testing and documentation.

You will develop dashboards, analyze trends, mentor junior analysts, and assist in vendor relationships while prioritizing multiple projects with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, information systems, or finance.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in business systems, data analysis, or operational support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in utility, energy, or regulated customer service environments.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle moderately complex issues and drive process improvements.
• Lead system health monitoring and suggest corrective actions.
• Assist with system testing, vendor escalations, and cross-functional problem-solving.
• Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reporting tools to track key metrics.
• Contribute to project teams, lead portions of system reviews, and mentor entry-level analysts.
• Manage tasks and projects with limited supervision and prioritize competing responsibilities.
• Monitor and respond to incoming support requests, providing first-level system support.
• Conduct system health monitoring, testing, basic troubleshooting, data validation, and QA checks.
• Assist with documentation of processes, workflows, and user guides.
• Generate reports and dashboards; analyze data to support business decisions.
• Support vendor relationships and track performance metrics and contract terms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve business challenges.
• Participate in project support, research, and administrative tasks.
• Participate in On-Call Supervisor rotation (minimum two shifts annually).
• Stay aware of trends, tools, and best practices related to customer experience and business solutions.
