Job summary

Eastern Bank is hiring for a hybrid branch role that combines teller duties with account services to support customers in our traditional branches. The role emphasizes cross-selling and building relationships with high-value clients while maintaining adherence to bank policies.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of sales experience in a retail/financial or hospitality setting, and basic banking exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of sales experience in retail, financial services, or hospitality preferred.
• Some banking experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Technically literate.

Responsibilities

• Opens deposit accounts.
• Prepares and processes loan applications for various lending units (mortgage, consumer, small business, etc.).
• Closes loans for customers for applicable business lines (i.e. consumer lending).
• Makes referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners.
• Proactively reaches out, by phone and in person, to high-value customers in efforts to retain and grow the portfolio.
• Responsible for operational compliance and adherence to policy.
• Handles daily account maintenance and other service issues as necessary.
• Understands and provides support in achieving quarterly sales.
