Job summary

Eastern Bank is seeking a Service Associate to perform hybrid duties as a Customer Service Representative and Teller at branch locations. You will open deposit accounts, process loan applications, handle loan closings, and refer to other bank lines.

You will support sales and service goals, manage daily account maintenance, and ensure compliance with bank policies while delivering responsive client service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of sales experience in a retail, financial services or hospitality environment preferred.
• Some banking experience is preferred (e.g., teller) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to communicate information clearly and build relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Opens deposit accounts and processes loan applications and closings.
• Makes referrals to other bank lines and partners; supports quarterly sales goals.
• Proactively contacts high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio.
• Process deposits, verify cash, provide receipts, and handle teller transactions.
• Maintain compliance and handle daily account maintenance and service issues.
