Grundfos seeks a Back Office Manager/Application Engineering Manager for the West US & Canada to lead a technical Back Office Engineering team delivering accurate technical support and quotations. The role is hybrid, based in Brookshire, TX, with a focus on performance, continuous improvement, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, technical customer support, or a related engineering function.
• 5+ years of experience managing and developing people in a technical environment.
• Proficiency with CRM, ERP, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Back Office Engineering team—setting clear expectations, managing workload priorities, and driving accountability for performance and professional growth.
• Provide technical leadership on complex customer inquiries, product selection, and pumping solutions, reviewing and approving quotations and proposal packages for accuracy and commercial soundness.
• Monitor team performance using CRM, Power BI, and ERP tools to track productivity, response times, and quality—leveraging data to proactively address gaps and improve effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and enhance the team’s ability to exceed customer expectations.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Product Specialists, and Engineering to resolve issues, support business growth, and share best practices across the organization.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and succession planning to ensure the team is resourced and positioned for long‑term success.
