Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor for a hybrid role in Rustenburg, North West. You will be the primary contact for customers bringing in vehicles for service, schedule appointments, explain service recommendations, and liaise between customers and technicians.

You will balance on-site customer interaction with remote administrative tasks, building lasting customer relationships and ensuring a seamless service experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of automotive terminology and service procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using dealership management systems (DMS) and computer software.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work both remotely for administrative tasks and on-site for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival at the service department.
• Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle service needs.
• Schedule service appointments efficiently, managing workshop capacity.
• Inspect vehicles with customers to identify additional service or repair needs.
• Clearly explain recommended services, repairs, and associated costs to customers.
• Provide accurate time estimates for service completion.
• Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle repairs.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
• Process service orders and invoices accurately.
• Coordinate with the parts department and service technicians to ensure timely completion of work.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through excellent service.
• Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction.
