Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Towson, MD team in a hybrid, part-time role. The successful candidate will process invoices, code entries, and ensure timely payments in accordance with policy.

We expect a minimum of 2 years AP experience, proficiency with Word/Excel, and familiarity with an Oracle ERP system. This role supports vendor relations and month-end tasks while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of accounts payable experience
• Ability to work remotely without connection issues
• Ability to handle a high volume of invoices daily
• Must Be: Self-Starter, Action-Oriented, Team Player, Organized and Able to Communicate Professionally
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (V-Lookup)
• Knowledge and use of an accounts payable/GL ERP software (Oracle)
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Process invoices daily, including accurate coding and data entry
• Ensure compliance with corporate approval and authority limits policy
• Attach all supporting documentation to ERP entries
• Research and resolve invoice, vendor payment and expense issues
• Meet processing expectations based on daily entry volume
• Provide back-up support for tasks like PO creation, 1099 reporting and month-end data entry
