UMBC is seeking a Business Services Accounts Payable Specialist to support the AP function, reviewing documents, entering payments, and ensuring compliance with UMBC and Maryland policies.

The role offers a hybrid telework option, starts at $24.93/hour with a salary range of up to $31.49/hour, plus vacation, winter/spring breaks, personal days, and tuition remission for eligible dependents after two years.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Six years progressively responsible experience in budgeting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, and personnel work.

Responsabilités

• Review and approve documentation submitted through the PAW e-procurement system, including invoices against purchase orders, contracts and payment requests.
• Ensure related information is accurate and complete, and that payments are appropriate in accordance with UMBC and State of Maryland policies, then upload documentation to the State of Maryland.
• Review and resolve items on the RStars daily error report; work with State Auditors to resolve discrepancies with documentation, vendor addresses, wires and other banking issues.
• Work with vendors to reconcile outstanding invoice statements and facilitate payments with departments.
• Provide customer support and training on PAW system, policies and procedures.
