Reuters, a global leader in trusted journalism and technology, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the CoCounsel Tax team. You will hire and mentor backend and AI engineers, shape the technical roadmap, and partner with Product and Design to deliver AI-powered tax features.

You will drive engineering health, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and deepen expertise in tax workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Track record of leading teams that ship production-grade backend systems at scale.
• Strong technical foundation in backend development and cloud infrastructure; comfortable with architecture discussions.

Aufgaben

• Build and grow the team: hire, mentor, and develop backend and AI engineers.
• Drive velocity and engineering health by improving processes, rituals, and code reviews.
• Set direction with product and design; align on roadmaps and ownership.
• Scope AI features end-to-end, partnering with Labs/Research on design and implementation.
• Remove friction across the org by addressing cross-team blockers and scaling processes.
