Thomson Reuters Corporation is hiring an Engineering Manager for CoCounsel Tax. The role leads backend and AI engineers, guiding AI-driven tax workflow features from scoping to delivery. You’ll partner with PM and Design to shape roadmaps and ensure high-velocity, scalable output.

You will also mentor teams, improve processes, and grow domain depth in AI-enabled tax automation across a fast-moving, hybrid work environment in multiple North American locations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Track record of leading teams that ship production-grade backend systems at scale.
• Experience partnering with PM, Design, and cross-functional leaders to set strategy and execute against it.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow the team; hire, mentor, and develop backend and AI engineers.
• Improve velocity and engineering health; optimize processes, code reviews, and delivery cadence.
• Set direction with product and design; align roadmaps and ownership.
• Shape agentic tax workflows and AI features across the product; collaborate with Labs/Research.
• Remove blockers and scale cross-team efficiency across the organization.
• Develop domain depth in tax ecosystems and automation opportunities.
