Job summary

AMOpportunities is seeking an Accounting Manager to own reporting, controls, and financial operations as we scale from startup to a foundation ready to grow. This hands-on role sits at the center of our finance function and reports to the VP Finance, collaborating with auditors, lenders, and cross‑functional partners.

Following a 2025 acquisition and an upcoming external audit, you will build scalable processes and AI-enabled workflows, improve data integrity, and lead a future finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Four to seven years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
• Experience owning or supporting external audits and year-end financial statements.
• Ability to prepare reporting for senior stakeholders (board, lenders, investors).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Excel and cloud accounting systems.
• Interest in using AI and automation to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process end to end.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and reconciliations.
• Oversee special payments and reimbursements for vendors and staff.
• Support liquidity forecasting and cash flow planning.
• Lead integration of PreceptorLink with new systems.
• Own board and lender reporting and external audit readiness.
• Build scalable, well-documented reporting and controls.
