Job summary

AMOpportunities is seeking an Accounting Manager to own reporting, controls, and financial operations as it scales. You will manage month-end close, cash flow forecasting, and AI-enabled processes to improve speed and accuracy. Role reports to the VP Finance and collaborates with auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and PE investors.

The position requires Chicago residency with in-office days at River North. You will build scalable finance infrastructure and lead a growing team as AMO scales its

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Four to seven years of progressive accounting or finance experience with month-end close and reporting.
• Experience owning external audit and year-end financial statements.
• Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders (board, lenders, investors).
• Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process end to end.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee external audit and year-end financial statements preparation.
• Own external reporting to board and lenders; ensure covenant compliance.
• Design and maintain internal controls; leverage AI to streamline processes.
