Job summary

AMOpportunities is seeking a Finance Manager to own reporting, controls, and financial operations that carry our finance function from startup to a scalable foundation. This hands-on role ensures trusted numbers reach our board and lenders and uses AI-enabled processes to run faster and more accurately.

You will report to the VP Finance, collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Four to seven years progressive accounting/finance experience with month-end close and reporting.
• Experience owning or supporting external audit and year-end statements.
• Experience preparing reporting for senior stakeholders (board, lenders, investors).
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial controls.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and handling large datasets.
• Experience with cloud-based accounting (Xero, QuickBooks Online, NetSuite).
• Trust but verify mindset; proactive in surfacing risks and solutions.
• Excellent communication with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
• Interest in using AI and automation to improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close end-to-end with accurate records.
• Manage core financial operations: AR, AP, cash management, reconciliations.
• Oversee payments including stipends, affiliate, and expense reimbursements.
• Maintain cash position visibility and support liquidity forecasting.
• Assist acquisition integration of PreceptorLink from QuickBooks to Xero.
• Own monthly board reporting and lender reporting cycles.
• Lead external audit and year-end financial statements sign-off.
• Build scalable, well-documented reporting processes.
