Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Absence Advocate to manage leave and accommodation cases across North America, with hybrid/remote options for Eastern and Central time zones. The role supports FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and workers' compensation programs, partnering with TPAs and HR partners to ensure compliant, timely case work.

Ideal candidates will handle ~100 active cases, communicate effectively, and navigate US/Canada leave regulations while advancing employee experience and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, healthcare administration, business management, or related discipline with 2 years' related experience (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and disability leave programs; ERISA familiarity.
• Proficiency with HRIS and leave-management systems; strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support ~100 active leave and accommodation cases with SLA-focused timing.
• Coordinate with TPAs, HR Partners, and stakeholders to advocate for employees.
• Support U.S./Canada populations and apply jurisdictional requirements.
• Monitor FMLA lifecycle and coordinate with TPAs to resolve gaps or delays.
• Handle inquiries via phone, chat, email; de-escalate as needed.
• Coordinate ADA and PWFA accommodations and RTW activities.
