Qualifications

• Current CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician certification; must be current and in good standing.
• 2 years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Competent in basic computer skills; multi-task oriented; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Review contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information.
• Create a patient profile from scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information.
• Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
• Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information or patient concerns.
• Update concise progress notes to aid workflow.
• Enter new provider information (National Provider Identifier) into the system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
