Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a contract role in Cary, NC. The position is hybrid, onsite daily during reverification phases with shift changes as noted. Pay starts at $22/hour, with potential for conversion based on performance during reverification.

Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, validating referrals, and coordinating with providers to ensure complete, accurate patient information while maintaining compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current CPhT Certified Pharmacy Technician certification; must be current and in good standing.
• 2 years pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Competent in basic computer skills; multi-task oriented; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Review contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information.
• Create a patient profile from scanned or faxed image by entering correct patient and provider information.
• Conduct initial check of prescription to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
• Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information or patient concerns.
• Update concise progress notes to aid workflow.
• Enter new provider information (National Provider Identifier) into the system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
