Actalent is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician Intake in Cary, NC to review referrals, verify prescription details, and create patient profiles. You will partner with providers to ensure referrals move smoothly through processing in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, data entry, and strong communication, with a focus on timely patient access to specialty medications. Onsite work with potential for future hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Currently certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in good standing.
• Active Pharmacy Technician registration with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP).
• Prior experience working in a pharmacy environment.
• Strong data entry and computer skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming referrals to ensure all required information is complete, accurate, and ready for processing.
• Create and maintain patient and provider records within pharmacy systems.
• Verify prescription information for completeness and accuracy prior to processing.
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions, resolve missing information, and provide referral status updates.
• Accurately document referral activity and progress notes to support seamless workflow across teams.
• Enter and maintain provider information, including National Provider Identifier (NPI) data.
• Perform high-volume data entry while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support timely patient access to specialty medications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve referral-related issues using sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Support additional pharmacy operations and patient access initiatives as needed.
