Actalent in Cary, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for a contract-to-hire role. The position features a hybrid schedule with in-office days on Tuesdays, and core hours 9:00 AM–8:00 PM. The pay is $22.50 per hour, with benefits available for the temporary period.

The role focuses on insurance verification, claims processing, and patient communication, supporting pharmacists and providers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with prior authorizations in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of pharmacy services and medical billing & coding.
• Ability to navigate large medical records efficiently.
• Strong understanding of insurance verification processes.
• Experience with CoverMyMeds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and communicate about insurance types and when each type would be utilized.
• Enter all communication and documentation in MIS.
• Assist with projects such as yearly reverification.
• Communicate with patients to gather insurance information.
• Triage prescriptions to preferred pharmacies or HUB providers when Biologics cannot serve the patient.
• Process pharmacy claims in Biologics MIS.
• Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to clinicians.
• Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, physicians, and payors.
