Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in Cary, NC to manage prescription insurance details, process eligibility checks, and adjudicate claims. The role involves handling inbound calls, assisting patients and providers, and ensuring timely medication delivery while supporting adherence to therapy plans.

The position requires NC registration or willingness to obtain, plus at least a high school diploma and 2+ years of pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification is required.
• 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience is required.
• Competent in basic computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills are essential.
• Ability to effectively work with people and provide patient-focused service.
• Detail-oriented and conscientious in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Locate and enter accurate prescription insurance information and process eligibility checks.
• Adjudicate claims and troubleshoot rejections to ensure accuracy for patients.
• Request prior authorization from providers and assist with PA process.
• Manage inbound calls from patients, clients, and healthcare providers about orders and payments.
• Serve as a technical resource during adjudication and identify improvement areas.
• Document progress notes accurately on patient profiles.
