Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an on-site Software Engineer to develop control software for Hardware-In-the-Loop missile simulators. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to understand requirements, design robust solutions, and ensure strict hardware/software standards are met.

A Secret clearance is required to start. You will work in a fast-paced environment, using C++ OO design, Linux/RTOS environments, and cross-train teammates in CM tools and quality practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related STEM field required; minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with software development in C++, using object-oriented features.
• Experience with Embedded Software, Embedded OS (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks) or Software Architecture Design.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government clearance required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to control Hardware-In-the-Loop facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
• Analyze system capabilities to determine end user needs and ensure hardware/software standards are met.
• Design and implement build procedures to support hardware/software product development.
• Perform software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
• Train developers in configuration management tools and software quality practices.
