Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced software professional to join the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team in Tucson, AZ. You will design, implement and integrate real-time software for missile flight simulators, collaborating with weapon system designers to meet requirements and performance targets.

The role requires a bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or related field and 5+ years of experience, with hands-on C++ OO development and exposure to embedded systems and Linux/RTOS environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or STEM field.
5+ years of relevant software development experience.
Experience with C++ in OO paradigm and real-time systems.
Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop HWIL software for missile flight simulators.
Analyzes end user needs and ensures hardware/software standards are met.
Design and implement build procedures for hardware and software product development.
Software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
May train software developers in configuration management tools and software quality standards.
