Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a software engineer for the Hardware-in-the-Loop group in Tucson, AZ. You will collaborate on flight simulator environments, analyze end user needs, and ensure hardware/software standards are met in a real-time setting.

You will design, code, and integrate software for missiles testing, and may train junior developers in configuration management and quality practices. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C++ development using OO features.
• At least two of: Embedded Software, Embedded OS (Linux/RTOS/VxWorks), Software Architecture.
• Active and transferable Secret clearance required prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to control HWIL facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
• Analyze end user needs and ensure hardware/software standards are met.
• Design and implement build procedures for hardware/software product development.
• Provide real-time software design, coding and integration; potential training.
