Job summary

RTX's Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) team in Tucson designs and builds flight-simulator environments for missiles, enabling real-time software integration and testing.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering, 2+ years in C++, and experience with embedded software and OS (Linux/VxWorks). Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance is required. This on-site role is based in Tucson, AZ, with opportunities to contribute across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with software development in C++, using object-oriented features.
• Experience with Embedded Software, Embedded OS (Linux, RTOS, VxWorks) and Software Architecture Design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software to control HWIL facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
• Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent and input data acquisition.
• Design and implement build procedures to support hardware and software product development and use.
• Software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
• May train software developers in configuration management tools and software quality standards.
