Job summary

RTX is seeking a software engineer for its Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team in Tucson, AZ. The role focuses on developing software to control flight simulators for missiles and supporting real-time integrated systems.

You will work with weapon system designers to translate requirements into robust software solutions. The position requires a Bachelor’s in STEM and at least 2 years of experience, plus an active Secret DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with C++ OO development.
• Active and transferable Secret DoD clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to control HWIL facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
• Analyze system needs and ensure hardware/software standards are met.
• Design and implement build procedures for hardware/software product development.
• Code and integrate software in a real-time environment.
• Mentor teammates on configuration management and software quality.
