Job summary

RTX, located onsite in Tucson, AZ, seeks a software engineer to develop control software for Hardware-In-the-Loop facilities. You will work with missile flight simulators, analyzing user needs and ensuring compliance with hardware and software standards.

The role requires a BS in CS/Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong C++ OO skills, embedded OS knowledge, and an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with software development in C++, using the object-oriented features.
• Experience with Embedded Software and OS such as Linux, RTOS or VxWorks.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software for HWIL flight simulators.
• Analyze end-user needs and ensure hardware/software standards are met.
• Design and implement build procedures to support hardware and software development.
• Perform software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
• May train developers in configuration management tools and software quality standards.
