Job summary

RTX, in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a software engineer to develop real-time control software for Hardware-In-the-Loop flight simulators. The role demands C++ expertise, embedded systems experience, and the ability to work across hardware and software disciplines.

You will contribute to design, build, and integration efforts and may mentor teammates in CM practices and software quality standards. A DoD Secret clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or STEM field.
• Experience with C++ in an OO environment.
• Experience with embedded software and/or embedded operating systems or related areas.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government clearance is required before start.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to develop software for Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities (flight simulators for missiles).
• Determine end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities and ensuring hardware/software standards are met.
• Design and implement build procedures to support hardware and software product development.
• Perform software design, coding and integration in a real-time environment.
• Potentially train developers in configuration management tools and software quality standards.
