Job summary

Johnstone Supply in Howell, MI is seeking a Counter Sales Associate I who will help HVAC/R customers with product information, order processing, and friendly service. You will greet customers, help them choose parts, and coordinate special orders while maintaining store profitability and strong customer relationships.

You will research inventory across catalogs, online sources, and nearby branches, quote customers, process warranties, returns, and will-call notices, and ensure accurate paperwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1+ year related wholesale/retail experience.
• Front line customer service experience required.
• HVAC/R or related industry experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with product selections; provide HVAC/R information.
• Research products across catalogs, websites, and branch inventory to fulfill orders.
• Process quotes, warranties, returns, and related paperwork accurately.
• Maintain showroom cleanliness and merchandising to support sales.
• Support store profitability by adhering to pricing and SOPs.
