Job summary

Johnstone Supply LLC is seeking a Counter Sales Associate I to support HVAC/R product needs, provide technical information, and process orders. You will greet customers, assist with product selection, answer calls, and coordinate orders to maximize store profitability.

The role emphasizes proactive customer service, upselling, and maintaining showroom standards while leveraging POS systems and relevant software. Prior experience in wholesale/retail is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ years in wholesale/retail environment or equivalent.
• Front-line customer service experience required; able to handle multiple customers and requests.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R products and ability to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in-person; assist with product selection and troubleshooting.
• Research and source parts; coordinate cross-branch transfers to fulfill orders.
• Process quotes, warranties, returns, and order paperwork accurately.
• Follow up on customer requests, quotes, and delivery dates; communicate delays.
• Maintain store appearance and inventory counts; uphold SOPs and pricing structure.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to build long-term customer relationships.
