Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support OEM customers across the Americas. You will become the technical expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and translate customer needs into Copeland solutions, collaborating with Account Executives to win and implement opportunities.

Based in the US with hybrid in-office requirements, you will travel 40–50%, engage cross-functionally with product management, field services and engineering, and help deploy control systems from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent industry experience.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development/engineering/field service/technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice (E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls).
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Demonstrated success in a technical role in food retail/foodservice or similar industry.
• Effective analytical, coordination and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with sales team and engage Solution Architecture, Product Management, Systems Engineering where needed.
• Create high level technical requirements for new OEM opportunities (hardware BOM, third-party integrations, control panels, programming files, distributed controllers, field services).
• Collaborate with Copeland execution teams to ensure successful deployment of controls and services.
• Maintain a customer-focused approach across the land, implement and expand phases of the sales cycle.
