Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support OEM customers in the HVACR controls space. You will act as a technical advisor on refrigeration and lighting controls, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help specify, apply and deploy Copeland control solutions for the food retail and foodservice industries.

The role requires a BS in Engineering or related field, 2+ years in a relevant area, knowledge of Copeland controls, and hands-on experience with building management

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Two years of food retail or foodservice product development / engineering / field service / technical support or related experience.
• Knowledge of Copeland control systems for Food Retail/Foodservice, including but not limited to E3, Site Supervisor, distributed controls.
• Hands-on experience with Food Retail/Foodservice Building Management Software.
• Demonstrated success in technical role in the food retail or foodservice industry - or similar industry.
• Effective analytical, coordination and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel 40-50%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted customer partner and technical subject matter expert for refrigeration, HVAC and lighting controls and applicable services.
• Serve as OEM application expert.
• Understand controls and services market trends and competitive capabilities.
• Collaborate with the sales team on customer facing engagements and serve as technical sales and OEM application expert.
• Create high level, technical requirements for new OEM opportunities and hardware/software needs.
